Site Engagement Meeting in Bangkok: Focus on technology and automation

Each year, we bring together our Operating Business Units in Site Engagement Meetings to strengthen collaboration across GPV. These gatherings are a valuable forum for sharing best practices, learning from different site perspectives, building a common understanding, and having the opportunity to interact with the Executive Leadership Team.

This year’s first Site Engagement Meeting in Bangkok brought together teams from our electronics sites in China, Slovakia, and Thailand, with Bjorn Fiskers, MD at GPV Electronics TH, Bangkok, hosting the meeting. Together with the Executive Leadership Team, the local management teams reviewed current performance, and discussed GPV’s technology roadmap, including how we can continue to use automation, AI and other technologies. The discussions also addressed people and change management topics with a focus on keeping people informed, engaged and supported as new technologies are introduced.

While digital collaboration enables us to work closely across borders every day, meeting face to face remains essential. This allows for deeper discussions, and stronger personal connections.

“This year, we have defined an overall theme for each Site Engagement Meeting to foster more interactive and engaging dialogues. For our meeting in Bangkok, the theme was technology and automation, reflecting the importance of and need for continuous improvements. I was very impressed how all participants leaned into both the hard and soft topics of this theme,” says Bo Lybaek, CEO at GPV.

From the Executive Leadership Team, CEO Bo Lybaek, CFO Henrik Tornbjerg, CBO Thomas Kaiser, and COO Martin Kjærbo participated. The agenda included presentations from each factory, time for informal dialogue during a joint dinner, and, as always, a tour of the hosting site.

“Our meeting also included factory tours of our 22,000 sqm electronics facility and 12,000 sqm mechanics factory in Thailand. Seeing the scale of our operations firsthand and meeting the many dedicated colleagues is always a valuable part of our Site Engagement Meetings,” says Bo Lybaek.

The next Site Engagement Meeting will take place on 9-10 June 2026, gathering MDs and local management teams from our Swiss, German, and Nordic electronics sites at GPV Electronics DE in Hildesheim, Germany.
