Increased Involvement in the Defence Sector

Considering the continued geopolitical tensions and conflicts, focus on defence and security has intensified. Therefore, it is natural that GPV increases its involvement in defence activities.

GPV has a long history within defence and aerospace and has participated in several defence projects. Due to a restructuring in 2008/09, focus on defence activities was scaled down. Nevertheless, the current situation taken into consideration with an increased need for reliable, competent, and secure defence capabilities, GPV is ready to contribute with expertise and increased involvement.

As a first visible step, we are pleased to announce that GPV has once again joined DI Defence and Security (FOS) under the Confederation of Danish Industries in Denmark. We will further explore the possibilities and relevance of engaging in other national defence networks to enhance our involvement and impact.

Extensive experience in the defence sector
Over the years, GPV has contributed to several advanced defence projects and has thereby gained good experience in the defence sector. Experience includes manufacturing and supplying critical components, sub-systems and systems for defence applications such as radar systems, air defence solutions, laser simulation, mobile tank systems, training equipment, power supply units, armoured vehicles, and other mission-critical electronics and mechanics.

Our teams have worked on projects that required compliance with the highest industry standards and strict safety protocols, positioning GPV as a trusted partner in this highly regulated industry. Currently, our factories in Denmark and Finland are working on defence and defence-related projects, ensuring a broad and well-established expertise within this industry. Additionally, our Swiss factory is also prepared to take on defence projects.

Furthermore, our Danish and Finnish factories are NATO security approved and equipped with the necessary infrastructure to handle sensitive data in full compliance with the relevant regulations.

The defence industry is typically a nationally-oriented industry and to offer and leverage our expertise across the organisation, our dedicated and competent teams will collaborate across GPV factories to deliver tailored and innovative solutions that meet the specific needs of our defence customers.

GPV has a wide range of certifications and is certified according to ATEX 2014/34/EU, AQAP 2110, IECEx standards and ISO 27001, the latter ensuring compliance with the highest levels of security and operational integrity.
