As we approach the holiday season and turn towards 2024, we would like to extend our greetings and thanks for your continued trust in GPV.
We look back at a year affected by geopolitical tension, continued disruptions in the global electronics supply chain and a volatile market situation. However, we also look back at a year, where we combined two companies and thereby created Europe’s second-largest EMS company.
Creating Europe’s Second Largest EMS Company
We started the year by celebrating the combination with former Enics. With a strengthened global footprint, new service offerings and a greater team of skilled professionals, we went to the market as One. New. Leader. with the focus of a prompt merger in the market, and step-by-step operational integration.
In June 2023, we launched a common organisation supporting a strong operating business model designed to prioritise transparency both internally and externally. Additionally, global functions were established to enhance professional support in serving our valued customers.
Investing in Additional Capacity
Apart from utilising our enlarged global footprint, we have continued to invest in additional production capacity in best-cost countries. Currently, we are expanding our electronics production facilities in Slovakia with a 11,000 sqm new factory ready for operation in Q1 2024. We are doubling our facilities in Mexico, and we have inaugurated a new mechanics factory in Thailand and built a new electronics factory in Sri Lanka.
Concluding the year, we have come far with the integration, and we are very pleased with the way, our customers have embraced the advantages we offer, being a stronger organisation.
Uncompromising Commitment to Service Excellence
At the very heart of GPV lies an uncompromising commitment to service excellence. As our customers’ trusted EMS partner, we do our utmost to ensure high quality, on-time delivery, and fast response – every day.
Over the past two years, our normal high and reliable delivery performance has faced challenges due to the supply chain crises. Despite these hurdles, in 2023, we managed to bring down the number of past due orders. Nevertheless, we also know that some sites still struggle with deliveries, and we are diligently working to fully resolve these challenges.
We look forward to continuing our journey, and 2024 will be another exciting year. Despite the expected softening and increased uncertainty in the general business climate, we also expect a significantly more reliable supply chain.
